Budapest, Haller Park 2023-2024 - ongoing project.

We plan to create a community collaborative three public live concert-performance in Haller City Park.

Our project focuses on the commentary and graffiti culture of Ferencváros, exploring the ways in which written text can be transformed into a performative situation through artistic means. We aim to showcase how poetry and music can convey the extra information of written communication and provide insights into the everyday reality of the broad public of the city of Ferencváros.

Our hypothesis is that these texts can be used as a tool for cultural politics to reflect on the opinions and thoughts of the community of Ferencváros. To achieve this, we plan to organize a live concert performance in Haller City Park to showcase how written views, comments, and graffiti can be transformed into music-based poetry, which becomes essential and valuable sentences for others. We hope that our project will not only serve as a platform for artistic expression but also bring the community of Ferencváros together to engage in meaningful discussions and conversations.

In our project, we want to deal with the commentary and graffiti culture of Ferencváros, including the nature and art of opinion forming. We are interested in how the written text can be transformed by artistic means into a performative situation, where we can convey the extra information of written communication beyond words through poetry and music.

We hope, that that these texts provide us with insights into the everyday reality of the broad public of the city of Ferencváros, which we would like to reflect on through the tools of art and/or cultural politics. In the frame of a live concert performance, we aim to show to Haller City Park's community and audience how our important thoughts, when spoken, become essential and valuable sentences for others: how written opinions, comments, and graffiti become music-based poetry.
