More about the ‘ArtRavaló’ program:
More about ‘Kukorica Jancsi’ performance:
ArtRavaló is a social engaged art project organised by the Subjective Values Foundation and the Faktor Terminal Association for young adults who are disadvantaged or have been brought up under child protection. The project is a year-long one that strengthens the experience of belonging to a community, develops self-expression and sensitizes young adults to the world around them through creative art activities.
The young people involved in the project put together a performance for 2019-2020 called ‘Kukorica Jancsi'. The story is about a child left in a cornfield who spends his childhood as an orphan: his adventures are re-enacted by the participants through improvisations based on their own experiences.
During the rehearsal process, building on these improvisations, we analyse and interpret with the young people, and together we create the visual world of the performance. The space, the objects and the costumes of the resulting performance are thus created through this collaborative work. The visual designer is the facilitator of the creative process.
